Beginnings

1. Beginnings

1953-1956

During this period Gego is searching for a plastic and experimental language using different drawing and painting techniques.

The subject of her works are the landscapes and people that surround her, saturated with color, product of a rich experimentation with different means and techniques: drawings with ink, pencil and charcoal, collages, tempera, casein and watercolors. She also does her first prints, specifically linocuts and xylographies.
